Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the priest during mass and at other worship services.
Eucharistic Ministers
Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are trained and commissioned once a year. Attendance at a class, sponsored by the Archdiocese is required. It is usually held in October. One more session, on a Saturday morning, is given by a priest of the parish, instructs new ministers in local customs. You can specify your interest in service at Mass, the homebound, or both.
Lectors
Lectors read the First and Second Reading and General Intercessions during the celebration of the Mass or other liturgical celebrations.
Liturgy Committee
The Liturgy Committee assists the priests and deacon with planning liturgies throughout the year.
Sacristans
Sacristans are volunteers who assist at weekend liturgies by carrying out a variety of duties.
Altar and Rosary Society
The Altar and Rosary Society ensures that the sanctuary is cleaned and maintained.

Parish Religious Education Program
PREP starts each September and instructs children in the ways of our faith and the catechist
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
RCIA begins each October and culminates with receiving the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil each March/April.
Prayer and Scripture Study Groups
For Lent, Advent, and at other times during the year prayer or scripture study groups are formed with particular focus areas. Stay tuned to the website for more information or call the Rectory so you are contacted during the next prayer or study group formation.
Choir and Music Program
The choir is a dedicated group of individuals who strive to keep the spirit of the Lord in the music and enhance singing in church. The regular choir practices in the choir loft once a week on Tuesdays at 7:30pm. New members are always welcome. Please contact the rectory for more information.
Pastoral Council
Members of the Pastoral Council are elected by the church body or are appointed by the Pastor. This council advises the pastor on matters unique to St. Hilary's Parish.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee assists the Pastor with managing the church's finances and budget.
Bereavement Team
The bereavement team provides support to families and widows of recently departed parishoners.
Respect Life Group
The Respect Life group organizes fundraisers and awareness for the unborn at St. Hilary's.
Spirit Club
The Spirit Club organizes activities for the "Over 50" crowd at St. Hilary's, providing socialization opportunities for our senior members.
Parish Outreach Committee
The Parish Outreach Committee seeks opportunities to help the parish communitiy improve the greater Abington-area community at large. Activities like the Christmas Giving Tree are popular with parishioners and those that benefit.
